Enquiries and contact forms

Where contact messages go, and the monthly email allowance.

Forms

Published sites collect contact messages. Every submission lands on the Leads page of that site.

Each enquiry also sends two emails: one to you, and one to the visitor confirming you received their message.

Monthly email allowance

Emails are capped per month by plan:

  • Free, no card: 50 emails a month — about 25 enquiries
  • Pro: 500 emails a month — about 250 enquiries

If you reach the cap, enquiries still arrive and still appear on the Leads page. We simply stop sending the notification emails until the allowance resets at the start of the next month. The Leads page tells you when this has happened.

How long leads are kept

Contact messages are kept for 12 months, then deleted automatically. Use Export CSV on the Leads page to keep them longer or to move them into your own records.

Inbound leads

A phone or form tool can post a lead straight onto this page. Each site has its own URL and secret, shown under Inbound leads. The tool signs the raw JSON body with HMAC-SHA256 and sends the hex digest in the X-Signature header. A bad signature is rejected. Unknown fields are ignored.

Fields: name, phone, email, message, source, outcome, summary, occurred_at. The source value is stored with the lead. Nothing on this side calls the tool back, so a tool that is down does not affect the site.

Replies

Notification emails are sent from a Siteflare address with the visitor’s address as the reply-to, so replying goes straight to them. There is no email setup to do, and nothing to configure on your own domain.
